The season 3 premiere of The Mandalorian starts with Din Djarin (Mando) saving the lives of dozens of Mandalorians. After helping them defeat an amphibian creature, Din asks The Armorer how he can be forgiven for breaking The Mandalorian laws. Din is told that the only path to redemption is by bathing in the Living Waters. The problem is Mandalore is poisoned. However, The Armorer agrees that proving that Mandalore isn’t poisoned will allow Din to be forgiven. This started the journey of Din’s redemption.

The end of the episode leads Din and Grogu asking to join Bo-Katan Kryze to take Mandalore. Unfortunately, there’s nothing to join. Bo-Katan tells Din that her forces “melted away” after she failed to return with the Darksaber. On top of that, the stolen fleet is moving along the galaxy as mercenaries. Thankfully, there is hope. Bo-Katan tells Din that the stolen fleet will listen to him since he still has the Darksaber.

Of course, things won’t be easy. Din has made enemies of Gorian Shard and his pirate fleet within the first episode. He also has to hope that the rest of The Mandalorians will follow him. Just because Bo-Katan says they will doesn’t make it true. Also, who’s to say Bo-Katan isn’t setting Din up? He ruined her mission. To make things worse, there’s no way that these are Din’s only threats. Episode 2 will likely have more obstacles for Din and Grogu to navigate.
