The second episode of The Mandalorian season 3 was more action packed than the first. After making his way to Mandalore, Din (the Mandalorian) fights a few beings in the Mandalore cave. Then he’s captured and almost eaten. If not for Grogu escaping and getting to Bo-Katan, he’d be dead.
After saving Din, Bo-Katan attempts to talk Din into abandoning his mission. Din refuses to stop. He says that restoring The Creed is the only way to bring The Mandalorian together again. Bo-Katan reluctantly takes Din and Grogu to the Living Waters. She doesn’t believe that Din engulfing himself in the waters will help his cause. But they continue on.
As Din is walking into the water he’s dragged under by something powerful. As Bo-Katan saves Din, she sees what grabbed him. It’s a beast called the Mythosaur. Something that was supposedly killed by Mandalore the First.
Episode 2 of season 3 of The Mandalorian could have been the best for expert Star Wars fans. There was a lot of lore within the show that fans may not have thought they’d see. Mandalore the First, the Mythosaur, and certainly more that the novice fan may not have noticed. This is only the beginning. Viewers should expect more Star Wars lore in the upcoming episodes. Also, look for Din and Bo-Katan to take out the Mythosaur in episode 3. Hopefully the fight will be an epic battle.
