Jacob Elordi as Superman

Here’s what we know. This is not an origin story. Instead, Gunn is seemingly doing what Matt Reeves has done with Batman and depicting him in his early days as a hero. Superman will undoubtedly be the face of the DCU going forward, for good reason. Someone under the age of 30 makes sense. Enter Jacob Elordi.

With James Gunn as the new mastermind behind the DC Universe, fans may not be happy with the idea of rebooting Superman, but so many have jumped at the chance to fan-cast the Man of Steel. There are few actors between the age of 25-32 that haven’t been fan cast as Superman at this point. Names like David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, Wolfgang Novogratz, and Dacre Montgomery are a few fan favorites, but Elordi is the man.

At 25, he’s already made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his versatile acting skills and captivating performances. He first rose to prominence with his role as Noah Flynn in the Netflix hit series The Kissing Booth. He has since starred in numerous other successful projects, showcasing his ability to adapt to different genres and roles.

In a young Superman film, fans know that it’s important to cast an actor who can embody the youthful spirit and energy that the character is known for. Elordi, with his charming personality and undeniable talent, is the perfect fit for the role. He can bring a fresh take on the iconic character, while still maintaining its essence.

Elordi also has the physical attributes to play the superhero. The 6’5 actor has already shown his athletic side in Euphoria, where he played a football player. His toned physique and chiseled features make him the ideal candidate for a superhero role. By the time the film releases in 2025, he’d be 27, and if you saw my Batman the Brave and the Bold fan cast, you’ll see why this age is ideal for what Gunn wants to do.
