The Mandalorian’s previous episode begins with Grogu taking his first step to becoming a Mandalorian. He defeats one of the foundlings in combat and later gets a piece of armor from The Armorer. This helps make his journey to becoming one of the Mandalorian official. While she’s making his piece, Grogu has a flashback. Viewers see how Grogu escapes death from the Empire. This memory contained one of the best action scenes of the season featuring Jedi Kelleran Beq.
Meanwhile, Bo-Katan leads a search party to rescue a Foundling stolen by a winged beast. A beast that’s taken a Foundling before to feed her children. In the end, it was Din who knocked the beast down to the water where it was inevitably eaten by the sea monster from the first episode. Thankfully, the Mandalorians aren’t without mercy. The winged beast’s children will become Foundlings. This is the way.
The episode ends with Bo-Katan getting a new piece of armor forged by the Armorer for saving the Foundlings. Her plan stopped more Foundlings from being taken. As her shoulder-plate is being made, Bo-Katan asks what it means to see a Mythosaur. The Armorer takes this as a metaphor or a vision. However, viewers know what she saw was real. Din will have questions when he finds out what she saw. Chief among them, why he was told about it.
