1. Alexander Ludwig
We need to talk about Alexander Ludwig and his potential to play Batman. Today he’s one of the stars on Heels, but most of you may know him from his role as Bjorn Ironside in the hit TV series Vikings, where he played a fierce warrior with a tragic arc. But did you know that he’s also shown his range in other roles, like in Bad Boys For Life and Final Girls?
In Bad Boys For Life, Ludwig played Dorn, a tech-savvy member of the Miami PD’s Advanced Miami Metro Operations team. This was a much different character than Bjorn – he was more of a computer geek than a fierce warrior. But Ludwig still brought his A-game, showing that he can handle comedic moments and hold his own alongside big stars like Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
In Final Girls, Ludwig played Chris, a charming and heroic love interest who bears a striking resemblance to Bruce Wayne. This is where we really started to see Ludwig’s potential as a superhero – he had the looks, the charm, and the physicality to pull off the role of a hero. And while Final Girls is a horror-comedy, we think that Ludwig could bring some of that same energy and charisma to a more traditional superhero role like Batman in the DC Universe.
Of course, playing Batman is no easy feat. It requires a certain level of intensity and gravitas, which Ludwig has shown he can handle. Plus it doesn’t hurt that he looks the part, standing 6’2 which helps with the commanding presence ideally suited to the Caped Crusader. That’s why he was No. 1 on this list and the man I choose for the Brave and the Bold fan cast.
