Who should play Wolverine in the MCU? We asked AI this very question and the answer wasn’t Tom Hardy or Scott Eastwood, as you might have expected.

The X-Men have been a beloved part of the Marvel Universe for decades, and fans have been eagerly anticipating their arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox back in 2019, it’s finally becoming a reality and fans are thrilled.

Fans have long dreamed of seeing the X-Men interacting with the Avengers, and the possibilities for crossover storylines are endless. The X-Men bring a whole new set of powers and personalities to the MCU, and the potential for epic team-ups and clashes is exciting to consider.

One of the most highly anticipated aspects of the X-Men’s arrival in the MCU is the casting of key roles, particularly that of Wolverine. The iconic character, played by Hugh Jackman in the previous X-Men movies, has become synonymous with the franchise and fans are curious to see who will take on the mantle next.

There are a lot of actors fans feel would be a perfect pick to play the character with Tom Hardy and Scott Eastwood often ranking among the top of fan wishlists. However, when we asked AI who it believes would be the perfect actor to suit up as Wolverine, it selected an entirely different actor.

Who should play Wolverine in the MCU (According to AI)

After Hugh Jackman’s iconic performance as Wolverine — one which he’ll reprise in Deadpool 3 — it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing the role; however, a recast is inevitable. Wolverine is one of the most popular X-Men characters so it’s only a matter of time before Marvel finally introduces him within the MCU.

Every fan has an ideal actor to play the role, but who does AI think Marvel should choose? We asked ChatGPT’s AI who the best actor for the role would be with absolutely no restrictions in place for its selection. So who does AI think should play Wolverine in the MCU? According to AI, the best actor for the job would be Taron Egerton, and here’s why:

"In my opinion, the perfect actor to play Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) would be Taron Egerton. Egerton is a talented actor known for his performances in films such as Kingsman: The Secret Service and Rocketman. He has proven his ability to portray complex characters with depth and charisma, which are essential qualities for bringing Wolverine to life on the big screen. Moreover, Egerton has the physicality to embody the character’s signature tough and rugged appearance. He has also demonstrated his dedication to physical training and stunt work in his previous roles, which would be necessary for portraying Wolverine’s fighting style and agility.Overall, I believe Taron Egerton would be an excellent choice to take on the iconic role of Wolverine and bring a fresh and compelling interpretation to the character in the MCU."

Honestly, we totally agree with AI as Taron Egerton would definitely make an amazing Wolverine!  He has already proven his action hero chops in films like Kingsman and Robin Hood, showcasing his ability to convincingly portray a tough and skilled fighter. Egerton also has the emotional depth to bring out the more complex sides of Wolverine’s character, such as his inner turmoil and vulnerability.

Egerton’s rugged and masculine features would make him an ideal candidate for playing Wolverine. With his strong jawline, piercing gaze, and impressive physique, Egerton has the rugged and gritty look that would perfectly embody the gruff and fierce character. He exudes a raw energy that would translate well on screen, and his physique would make him a believable fighter.

Many fans have longed to see Egerton appear in a superhero project and there is no denying he’d be an amazing Wolverine. Let’s just hope Marvel acts quickly as his interest in the genre seems to be losing interest in joining the MCU.
