5. Nicole Kang

While Nicole Kang might not have technically played the original Poison Ivy, aka Pamela Isley, her performance as Poison Ivy in Batwoman season 3 was nothing short of amazing and is one of the best iterations we’ve seen of the character on the screen so far.

What made Kang’s turn as Poison Ivy stand out from the crowd was the unique origin story of how she came to transform into a variation of the iconic character. It was a departure from the Mary we had seen on the show and allowed Kang to stretch her acting chops in new ways as she fully embraced her character’s villainous turn.

Everything about the storyline was incredible beginning with the actual transformation as it was one that no one had anticipated coming. Then there was the big reveal of seeing Kang in all her glory rocking Ivy’s signature green look and iconic red locks. And finally we have her performance in the role.

Kang was absolutely flawless during her run as Poison Ivy, delivering a scene-stealing performance that was one of the highlights of the season. While Mary would eventually reverse the effects and return to her normal self after several episodes, her time as Ivy was a real treat for viewers.

There was a lot to love about Kang’s run as Ivy and there’s no denying it ranks among the best we’ve seen from the character thus far, and was a standout moment from Batwoman‘s final season!
