Sagat – Tony Jaa

Sagat is one of the most feared characters in the Street Fighter franchise. As a Muay Thai expert, he is known for his ferocious fighting style and incredible strength. But what many fans might not know is that he has a deep and complex backstory, with ties to some of the most beloved characters in the series.

One of those characters is Ryu, the wandering warrior who is always seeking to improve his martial arts skills. Sagat and Ryu have a long and complicated history, with Sagat serving as a mentor to Ryu in the past. However, their relationship is not always straightforward, as Sagat has also been a fierce rival and adversary to Ryu.

In a film adaptation of Street Fighter, Sagat could play a crucial role in the development of Ryu’s character. As a mentor figure, he could help Ryu to develop his skills and reach new heights in his training. At the same time, their rivalry could provide a compelling source of conflict and drama, driving the plot forward and keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.

With his imposing physical presence and impressive martial arts skills, there is no actor better for this role than Tony Jaa. Fans have long since fan cast Jaa in plenty of comic book movie roles. Given his Thailand heritage and martial arts skills, he would be the perfect choice to play Sagat on the big screen. He has already proven his action movie credentials in films like xXx: Return of Xander Cage, The Expendables, and The Hunter (2020) his portrayal of Sagat could take his career to the next level.
