6. Karen Gillian

Karen Gillan has an impressive range of skills, and her previous experience in the sci-fi genre makes her a perfect choice for the role of Mera in a potential Aquaman reboot. Gillan has proven her acting abilities through her portrayal of Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and she could bring that same level of intensity and complexity to the character of Mera.

As an actress, Gillan has an undeniable physical presence that would be ideal for portraying Mera’s powerful and regal demeanor. Her red hair, striking blue eyes, and tall frame all fit the character’s appearance. Mera is known for her strength, intelligence, and confidence, and Gillan has the charisma to bring all of these qualities to life on the big screen.

Casting Gillan as Mera could provide a reunion between her and director James Gunn. Gillan has been a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, which was directed by Gunn, and their creative partnership could continue in the DC Universe. Gunn has already established himself as a skilled director in the DC world with his work on The Suicide Squad, and Gillan could be an excellent addition to the growing roster of talent in the franchise as Gunn looks to reboot the DC Universe.

Karen Gillan’s talent, physical presence, and previous experience in the sci-fi genre make her an excellent choice to play Mera in a new Aquaman reboot. And with Gunn looking to continue working with some of his Marvel stars in his new DC, we’d love to see Gillian be among the first to make the jump from Marvel to DC.
