What Jon Bernthal could look like as Wolverine in the MCU

In a stunning new piece of concept art from digital artist Samukarts, Bernthal is transformed into Wolverine complete with the character’s iconic super suit… no not that super suit.

Instead of pulling from the character’s iconic blue and yellow suit, Samukarts instead envisions Bernthal’s Wolverine through the lens of the Wolverine we met in X-Men: Evolution. Via the art, Bernthal suits up in the character’s iconic orange and black variant suit while rocking the character’s signature adamantium claws.

While perhaps not the suit many might have envisioned seeing Bernthal in when thinking of him in the role of Wolverine, the art does an incredible job of showcasing just how amazing he could be in the role if Marvel was to come calling.

Could Jon Bernthal play Wolverine in the MCU?

While it is ultimately up to the casting directors and filmmakers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to decide who will play Wolverine, Jon Bernthal could be a potential candidate for the role.

Sure Bernthal is best known for his role as Frank Castle aka the Punisher, in the Marvel Netflix series. He has proven that he has the acting chops to portray a gritty, no-nonsense character like Wolverine. He also has the physicality to pull off the role, with his muscular build and intense energy.

While Bernthal has proven he has the acting chops as well as the look to bring Wolverine to life, what could be the biggest factor working against him is the fact that he has played another iconic character in the MCU already.
