The first of the announced new spinoffs, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was originally supposed to be led by both Daryl and Carol but, as the title implies, it will now just focus on the former. It’s definitely an upsetting change for fans of Daryl and Carol’s friendship, especially as it means we won’t see the incomparable Melissa McBride reprise her role, but it’s still shaping up to be an exciting new addition to the

TWD Universe.

Set after the finale of The Walking Dead, the series’ setting will be what differentiates it from its predecessor, as it will be set in Paris, France. There, he will meet a new cast of characters that will round out the six-part series.

We don’t yet know how Daryl will make his way to Europe, but we do know that the series will premiere on AMC in the second half of 2023. A more specific release date has yet to be announced by AMC but the show filmed in France earlier this year and the first look photos of Noman Reedus back in the role have been revealed.

So things are definitely happening on the Daryl Dixon front, and the more we hear about it, the more excited we get!
