The Walking Dead: Dead City

Release date: June 10, 2023

Maggie Rhee will never be able to forgive Negan for what he did to her husband Glenn in The Walking Dead‘s season 7 premiere, but they have formed an uneasy alliance that makes them an efficient team. This was never clearer than it was when they worked together to take down the Commonwealth in the final season. Maggie acknowledged that her archenemy had changed but that she couldn’t ever forgive him for his reign of terror.

In spite of Maggie’s reluctance to be in his company, she will reteam with Negan in the first of the new spinoffs The Walking Dead: Dead City. A teaser trailer for the upcoming show revealed that, when her son Hershel is kidnapped, she will turn to the one other person she knows will do anything to save him.

Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan return to lead a new cast in a six-part series that will take Maggie and Negan to New York City. Dead City is set to premiere on AMC on June 10, 2023, and run for six episodes. Right now, it’s unclear if this will be a limited series or a first season, but there is always the potential for more when it comes to these characters.
