AI fan casts the X-Men in the MCU (and its picks are spot-on)

Marvel fans can’t stop speculating who will be cast as the X-Men when the characters are brought into the MCU. Here’s who AI thinks should play them.

When it comes to casting superhero movies, everyone has their own unique thoughts on who should play the characters. This is particularly true when it comes to the X-Men, who are one of Marvel’s most beloved and iconic franchises.

Every Marvel fan has a list of actors they’d like to see take on the key characters from the X-Men team when the time comes for the characters to join the MCU.

Some fans are pushing for lesser-known actors who could bring a fresh take to the roles, while others are advocating for big names with established acting chops. There are even some who are championing for the return of actors who played these characters in previous X-Men films, despite the likelihood of a complete MCU reboot.

Fan casting the X-Men with help from AI

While there’s no telling when the X-Men might finally enter the MCU — it has been over four years since Disney bought 20th Century Fox and there’s been no update yet — that hasn’t stopped the speculation from growing over who should play the key members of the X-Men when the time finally comes for them to join the MCU.

With this in mind, we decided to ask ChatGPT’s AI to dream cast the key members of the X-Men team with the only criteria being for it to select actors not currently in the MCU. The end result was an amazing list of actors and actresses Ai identified as being the perfect selections to play core members of the team:

Not going to lie, AI made some truly inspired selections including a number of unexpected casting decisions that would be absolutely perfect!

Let’s start with Millie Bobby Brown as Rogue. While many have fan-cast Brown as various characters including Shadowcast from X-Men, her name has somehow not come up often when discussing who should play Rogue. However, now that AI has put the thought out there into the universe we have to admit there is no denying she would be an amazing Rogue. Brown has a knack for playing fiery and complicated characters, two traits that are a key part of Rogue’s DNA.

Then there is Aja Naomi King as Storm. Many actresses’ names have been tossed around for the role of Storm, yet not many have mentioned King in the conversation which is honestly a travesty as she’d be incredible in the role. King delivered a truly stunning and commanding performance as Michaela Pratt and would undoubtedly bring that same nuance and depth to the role of Storm.

It’s also fun to see names such as Scott Eastwood, Nicholas Hoult, and Emma Stone in the mix as well as the three have come up in many fan casts for good reason. The trio would be amazing additions to the MCU and definitely could make amazing additions to the X-Men team as Wolverine, Cyclops, and Jean.
