PASADENA, CALIFORNIA – JANUARY 31: Michael Trevino of the television show ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ speaks during the CW segment of the 2019 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena on January 31, 2019 in Pasadena, California. /

Michael Trevino

Fans of The CW will likely know who Michael Trevino is, especially when you think of the fact that he has had major roles on The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Roswell New Mexico. And it is thanks to these roles that we think that Trevino would make an amazing Green Lantern.

In a lot of ways, it is his role as Kyle Valenti on Roswell that really informs our decision to add the actor to our Green Lantern wish list. Not only was he a doctor in the series, but he repeatedly dealt with aliens and alien issues. He handled things with humor and grace, a sense of wonder when it was called for, and a desire to change the world that is perfectly in line with a superhero.

While his character wasn’t actually an alien in the series, we still think he would be a great addition to a mixed police force of extraterrestrials and humans. Whether he played Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, or any number of other potential Green Lanterns, we could absolutely see him stepping up and showing off his ability to be poised, mature, and even a bit snarky.

We don’t necessarily want an actor who is all about serious roles, but we do want one who brings a sense of maturity to the role. And that is exactly what we would get with Michael Trevino in the role of a Green Lantern. We would have an actor who is versatile and has already proven that they can take on aliens and hold their own.
