Marvel comic: Punisher No. 11

The Hand did the impossible and brought Frank Castle’s wife Maria back from the dead (Punisher No. 1 by Jason Aaron). For a time, it seemed like Maria was okay with what her husband was doing. She learned to accept that it was just who he was.

As time went on, she realized that his war would never end. That leads her to look further into the Punisher. She saw that Frank Castle became the Punisher and used her and their children’s names to continue his war. Right after that, Maria confronted her husband and shot him.

Wolverine confronts the Quiet Council

Marvel comic: Wolverine No. 32, X-Force No. 39

What Hank McCoy has been doing was bad enough. It’s worse that Charles Xavier knew what was going on and let it happen. In fact, as Wolverine put it, Xavier gave Beast carte blanche when it came to X-Force and the protection of mutants. Xavier may not have known what Hank McCoy was doing to Wolverine, but Logan was still disgusted. However, Wolverine didn’t appear to be shocked. Xavier has been a jerk for decades.

After Logan drops Hank’s body in front of the Quiet Council, Emma Frost telepathically updates the rest of the Quiet Council on what Wolverine knows. As Logan leaves, Xavier asked where he was going. Wolverine simply replied, “Hunting.”

Before Logan makes his way away from the council, Logan looks at Sage and says, “They’re ready for you, Sage. Show them who’s boss.” With Beast gone, Sage was put in charge of X-Force. The one caveat was one of the Quiet Council members had to join X-Force. Colossus volunteered.
