Thor: All 8 Chris Hemsworth Marvel movies ranked from worst to best
By Bryce Olin
8. Thor: The Dark World
Thor: The Dark World premiered in 2013, and it’s the eighth movie of the MCU. It’s also the sequel to Thor and is the second Thor movie, ahead of Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder, which you’ll also find on this list.
In Thor: The Dark World, Dr. Jane Foster becomes infected with the Aether, which is a weapon used by the Dark Elves, who seek to destroy the Nine Realms. Thor and Loki unite to stop the Dark Elves and save Jane before it is too late.
Overall, Thor: The Dark World is not bad; it’s just the worst of the Chris Hemsworth Marvel movies. There are moments and performances that are actually quite good. Natalie Portman as Dr. Jane Foster was a great addition to the MCU, and Chris Hemsworth is also really good as Thor in the sequel. Tonally, Thor: The Dark World could be a little bit better. If it could have struck the balance that Thor: Ragnarok had, Thor: The Dark World would have worked much better, but it’s still a good movie and a necessary part of the Thor story. We get to see a little more range for Hemsworth as an actor than we do in the first movie.
Up next is the worst of the Avengers movies, Avengers: Age of Ultron.
