3. Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Infinity War is the third Avengers movie. It premiered in theaters in 2018, one year before the release of Avengers: Endgame, the fourth of the Avengers movies and the biggest movie in MCU history so far.
Avengers: Infinity War could easily be No. 1 or No. 2 on the list, but I think it’s a good pick as No. 3. It’s an incredibly important movie for Thor. It begins shortly after Thor and Loki and the gang allowed Ragnarok to happen and Hela to be destroyed. Thanos and his minions attack the Asgardians to steal the Space Stone. Loki is killed in the process, and Thor is left for dead until the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive to save him.
Most of Thor’s journey revolves around him acquiring the battle axe, Stormbreaker, to use on Thanos and his Infinity Stones. After Thor returns to Earth where a major battle is happening in Wakanda, Thor nearly succeeds in killing Thanos, but Stormbreaker barely misses. Thanos does his thing, and the rest is history.
We know Thor is never one to back down from a fight, but seeing how he took on the task of killing Thanos was admirable.
