All 3 Creed movies ranked from worst to best
1. Creed
This is a great way to continue the Rocky franchise while focusing on someone other than Rocky, but still having the heart that a character like Balboa can provide. Adonis gets adopted by Mary Anne Creed, his father Apollo’s widow. As he gets older he begins underground fighting, attempting to follow in his Dad’s footsteps.
Eventually, he begins to make his way to a legit ring and reaches out to Rocky in order to train him. Although apprehensive at first, he finally decides to take him on, teaching him everything that was taught to him by Mickey and Apollo throughout the previous films. Some of the things that he tries become a little bit dated to say the very least.
Michael B. Jordan’s performance in Creed was exceptional. He portrayed the character of Adonis Creed with depth and authenticity, capturing the audience’s attention and making them invest in the story.
The only bad thing about Creed and the other subsequent films is that they seem to have a more sports-orientated feel to them, whereas the Rocky films were never sports films. They were about a man’s life, love, and his experiences with it.
We also find out who won the Creed/Balboa III fight at the end of Rocky III. So there’s that too.
