Will Gotham Knights air a new episode tonight? (May 16, 2023)

While there won’t be a new episode of Gotham Knights tonight on The CW, the series has continued to get better. Here’s when you can expect the next episode.

We are eight episodes into the premiere season of The CW’s newest DC Comics TV show, Gotham Knights. If you’ve been keeping up with the show, then you know the first three episodes were difficult to watch. It didn’t help that main character Turner Hayes was at a disadvantage. He didn’t exist in the comics. This led people to wonder why they used him when Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, or Jason Todd could have been Bruce Wayne’s adopted son. Then episode 4, “Of Butchers and Betrayals”, debuted. For this writer, it was the show’s true beginning.

The last four episodes have shown the potential of all of the characters. That’s including Turner Hayes (played by Oscar Morgan). What started as a bland character has become an interesting part of the cast. He’s blended in perfectly to crew with different personalities – something that isn’t easy to do. If you haven’t started the show yet, now is the right time to jump in.

Speaking of jumping into the show, there won’t be a new episode airing on The CW tonight. The show is currently on a break, but the good news is that it will be back soon.

When does Gotham Knights return to The CW?

Gotham Knights will be back on The CW on Tuesday, May 23, at 9:00 p.m. ET. The upcoming ninth episode, titled “Dark Knight of the Soul”, will follow the heroes after their up close encounter with the Court of Owls. An episode where viewers will see more of Harvey Dent’s downward spiral into madness. There have already been hints to his split personality. Before the season concludes, Harvey’s bad side will be the one in control.

On the heroes’ side, Turner was kidnapped. Now it’s up to the Gotham Knights to get him back. The interesting part will be what kind of things Turner is put through. This is an opportunity for Gotham Knights to separate itself from the other shows on The CW. It doesn’t have to be like Riverdale or The Vampire Diaries, but it should be haunting.
