36. The Flash season 7

There once was a time when you’d see a sequence of consecutive fourth seasons on the lower end of this list because, Supergirl aside, season 4 was not kind to the Arrowverse shows. But that streak has been broken by some really disappointing seasons from The Flash‘s later run.

Kicking us off on that front is The Flash season 7. This season saw Barry Allen and Team Flash have to take on the Forces (the Still Force, the Sage Force, the Strength Force, and of course The Speed Force). That sounded like a lot of fun, but the execution left a lot to be desired.

The truth is that the Forces just weren’t that interesting, and when you had the Speed Force, which looked like Barry’s mother Nora and referred to him as her “beautiful boy”, suddenly start calling Barry and Iris “mom and dad”, you have a serious problem.

The back half of the season fared a little better by introducing the long-awaited Godspeed, but it completely dropped the ball and rushed the storyline so much it almost makes us wish they never adapted it in the first place.

Season 7 was full of promise, but the drawn out Forces story, the truncated Godspeed story, and the pointless interlude format killed every last bit of it, making for The Flash‘s worst season.
