The Boys season 4 is not coming to Amazon Prime Video in June 2023

The Boys season 4 isn’t coming to Amazon Prime Video in May, but filming is finished, and Gen V should be coming sooner than later.

The Boys season 4 on Amazon Prime Video could be the most anticipated returning comic book show of the last couple of years.

The third season ended with Homelander being able to do whatever he wants and that showed that the future of this world is in trouble. If he can kill someone in front of a crowd and get away with it, what’s next? To make things worse, Homelander has taken over Vought International through fear. That makes him the most powerful superhero on two fronts. He’s stronger than everyone physically and he controls the media.

Unfortunately, fans shouldn’t expect the show to return in June. Amazon Prime Video recently released its new titles for this coming month and The Boys season 4 is not listed among them.

It would have been nice to see The Boys debut sometime this summer. Unfortunately, that is unlikely. Amazon Prime Video’s hit show may have finished filming, but it’s looking like the show won’t return until next year. The good news is that spinoff Gen V is still on its way.

There has been some Gen V news released over the last few months. First of all, some of the superhero outfits have been released. Earlier this month Gen V‘s Twitter account posted a picture of Golden Boy (played by Patrick Schwarzenegger). It was also confirmed that Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) will be part of the show. Entertainment Weekly reported Ackles saying:

"“Soldier Boy pops up for a brief moment in this new spin-off of The Boys. In fact, there’s a few cameos from the mothership that come into this spin-off.”"

It seems like every month this writer says, “Gen V will release a new trailer soon!” And every month it doesn’t happen. To quote John Legend, “I said it the last time, but this is the last time.” We should expect there to be a new Gen V trailer released sometime soon, along with a release date at some point.

The show has been teasing fans with its arrival for some time, and since it’s likely going to be used to fill the void left by The Boys‘ between-season absence, updates about its release shouldn’t be too far away.
