Spider-Man 3 is the third and final movie of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco. While it’s not been in and of itself, Spider-Man 3 is the worst of Raimi’s Spider-Man movies by a long shot, unfortunately.

In the film, Peter Parker battles new villains, Sandman, and Venom, which is actually created because of Peter’s mental and emotional struggles. The symbiote that infected and nearly killed Peter later infects Eddie Brock and becomes one of the most difficult foes Peter has faced to date.

The bar that Raimi set with the first two Spider-Man movies was so high. It’s easy to see why the third movie just didn’t get back to that level. From a story perspective, Sandman and Venom weren’t Green Goblin and Doc Ock, and Peter’s struggles with his friends and family in this movie were tiring and unorganized.

Let’s keep this movie with Andrew Garfield’s first Spider-Man movie.
