4. Sabrina Carpenter

You might recognize Sabrina Carpenter from such projects as Girl Meets World, Tall Girl, or even Work It. Or maybe you know her from her musical career. But wherever you recognize her from, there is something about Carpenter that makes us think she has what it takes to bring the character of Shadowcat to life in the MCU.

While Sabrina Carpenter has never really given us a lot of grit in any of her earlier work, that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have what it takes to give life to a mutant. In this case, it is all about what she brings to her music videos that has me thinking that she could bring the grittiness and maturity that we want for the role of Kitty Pryde.

Considering Carpenter is 24 years old, she is young enough to be a part of the MCU for years to come, and yet she is also old enough to be believable as a more mature version of Kitty. Another thing to consider about the actress is that she is not necessarily as well known as say Halle Bailey or Millie Bobby Brown. This means that she could make the role her own without too many preconceived notions as to how she will embrace the role.

There are a lot of reasons why Sabrina Carpenter might be a great Shadowcat, with one of the most compelling reasons being that she has already been a lead in both a movie and TV show, and yet she is not nearly as mainstream as some of the actresses who might be considered for the character.
