Natalia Dyer

Natalia Dyer is currently one of the stars of what is quite possibly the biggest TV show in the world right now. Stages don’t get bigger than that. Furthermore, her character Nancy Wheeler had what was undoubtedly her best material thus far in Stranger Things season 4, which saw the young woman investigate the truth about the Upside Down and go all Sarah Connor on the outing’s main villain. That’s superhero energy right there.

Dyer isn’t completely unfamiliar with super comparisons. Nancy is often compared to Lois Lane, a reporter who isn’t afraid to show her badassery and strength when in dire situations, and Dyer herself was rumored to be in the running for the role of Sue Storm / the Invisible Woman in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Fantastic Four movie (ironically alongside Supergirl star Melissa Benoist, who is also rumored for the role). That, more than anything, highlights how much audiences would be receptive to her in a huge comic book project.

If she does end up landing a role on the DC end of things, Supergirl would be a great choice. Dyer has proven time and again that she is capable of slaying larger-than-life roles, while also bringing a gentle nature to her characters. That would be perfect for the Girl of Steel and casting a Stranger Things star in the role would also be a great way for the DCU to appeal to a whole new franchise.
