2. Mister Sinister

Who he is in his name: Mister Sinister. Even then, the word doesn’t truly describe how evil this guy truly is. He even looks the part.

Fans of Cyclops know all too well what Nathanial Essex, aka Mister Sinister, is capable of. Over the years, Sinister has repeatedly manipulated Cyclops and Jean Grey, two prominent X-Men. He engineered the creation of the clone Madelyne Pryor to seduce and manipulate Cyclops emotionally. Oh, and let’s not forget the role Sinister also played in Jean Grey’s transformation into the Dark Phoenix, exploiting her powers for his own gain.

There are a few things you can point to, but nothing compares to the orchestration of the Mutant Massacre. This tragic story is one of the best stories in all of comics, which took place across several X-Men comics in 1986.

The story involved a coordinated assault on the Morlock community, a group of mutants living in the sewers beneath New York City. The Marauders, under the orders of Mr. Sinister, targeted the Morlocks, intending to kill as many mutants as possible. He also isn’t above mental and physical torture, especially when it comes to genetic mutation. So yeah, he’s arguably one of the evilest big bads in the MCU.
