Marvel may announce a new Punisher at San Diego Comic-Con

Marvel Comics will introduce the next Punisher at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con. Who could it be, and will they be the right person to replace Frank?
Jason Aaron threw Marvel Comics fans for a loop in his Punisher limited series. He put Frank Castle in charge of the Hand, gave him superpowers, and brought his wife back to life. The latter became his downfall. His wife (Maria) shoots him towards the end of the series.
Before Frank could face retribution for his actions, he disappears. Even Doctor Strange couldn’t find him. After disappearing, Frank Castle found a new purpose in life. He’s seen protecting children in Weirdworld. Instead of going by Punisher, he told one of the kids to call him Frank.
This upset a lot of fans. Why would Marvel Comics have Frank Castle stop punishing people? How could he stop using guns? They believed removing this destroyed everything that the character represented. It looked like this happened to make way for a new Punisher.
This ending upset a lot of fans. Why would Marvel Comics have Frank Castle stop punishing people? How could he stop using guns? They believed removing this destroyed everything that the character represented. According to Marvel’s social media (that you can see above), it looks like this happened to make way for a new Punisher.
Marvel’s posts show a mysterious image of the Punisher with his face blacked out. The text reads, “Who is the Punisher?” It’s followed by, “All will be revealed at the Marvel: Heroes, Hulk, and Superhero panels.” They also added a date and time. On Friday, July 21 at 3 pm, at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel will reveal who the Punisher is.
