What arcs will Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 cover?

The first half of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will cover Gojo’s Past Arc (also known as the Hidden Inventory Arc/Premature Death Arc).

This arc details the life Gojo Satoru lived before he became a teacher to Itadori Yuuji, Fushiguro Megumi, and Kugisaki Nobara. Here, we learn what exactly happened to cause Gojo and his best friend, Geto Suguru, to have such a devastating divide in their relationship. It’s also where we get to see why Toji Fushiguro, Megumi’s father, was the catalyst for tragic events that can never be undone and still very much so affect the present day.

Read the full arc synopsis below (via Jujutsu Kaisen Wiki):

"A story from the past… Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto are given a mission to protect and escort a young girl. The arrival of a skilled non-sorcerer assassin threatens to put a rift in both their mission and their friendship…"

The Shibuya Incident Arc will make up the latter half of the season.

In the Shibuya Incident Arc, we will see Geto’s devious plans to exert his dominion over the human race. Of course, his plans all lead back to his former best friend, Gojo, as he will do anything to weaken him and prove that he may not have what it takes to protect everyone, despite being the strongest sorcerer in all of history.

Read more of what you can expect from this arc below:

"October 31st arrives, and Suguru Geto’s plan is in motion. A curtain is cast to trap civilians in Shibuya, with many of them begging for one man, Satoru Gojo! Multiple squads of sorcerers are dispatched to the scene. What mysteries lie within the Shibuya Curtain…?"
