These 14 heroes and villains would be perfect downloadable characters to add to Mortal Kombat 1.

Downloadable content (DLC) has become an important part of gaming. To some, it’s annoying that you have to pay for additions after purchasing a video game, but sometimes they’re worth it. Among the DLCs people look forward to are additional characters and NetherRealm Studios has been the best at this for years. They don’t just use characters within the Mortal Kombat universe. The Predator, Kratos, and Spawn are only three of the characters NetherRealm Studios has used.

The newest Mortal Kombat game (MK 1) will continue the tradition of random DLC fighters. So far, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and Homelander are among the non-Mortal Kombat characters announced for their DLC package. The best part is they probably won’t be the only ones. If there are more, here are 11 additions we believe will make perfect additions to MK 1.

Note: Don’t expect characters like Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman to appear in Mortal Kombat 1. Not because they aren’t popular or wouldn’t fit. The visual of them brutally getting brutally killed may hurt their image. It shouldn’t, but it may. Unlike Homelander, Omni-Man, and Peacemaker where it wouldn’t be a big deal.
