3. Dacre Montgomery

Maybe it is just me, but I want to see some redemption for Dacre Montgomery in terms of his getting a chance to be a superhero on the big screen. While his Power Rangers movie didn’t give us the rebooted big-screen franchise we might have hoped for, it did give us a major appreciation for the actor and his ability to be a hero.

And then he took on Stranger Things and became a scene stealer. He proved that he can be amazingly versatile. He could be a bad guy, a good guy, and a tortured soul.

All of the things that Montgomery has brought to both the big and small screen are enough to have me saying he is perfect for the next Superman. Honestly, if David Corenswet had to drop out of the role of Superman suddenly, Dacre Montgomery would be one of my first choices for replacement because he is truly a brilliant actor.

His more than just charismatic and charming on screen, he has a commanding presence that is hard to ignore. He has repeatedly showcased a wide range of emotions on screen and does it in a way that we truly believe. This alone is enough to make me think that he could be the Man of Steel. And once again, he is young enough to step into the role and make it his own for many years to come.
