Paul Bettany is one of the actors that has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since it began and still is an integral piece of it. He first appeared in Iron Man as Tony Stark’s artificially intelligent assistant, J.A.R.V.I.S., named after his former butler, Edwin Jarvis.

While it’s typical for characters to change and grow throughout a franchise, Bettany had a unique experience with his role completely transforming altogether. He may have started as J.A.R.V.I.S., but he later got a live-action role in the form of Vision almost a decade later in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
