1. Lenore Zann

X-Men the Animated Series was an iconic cartoon that has cemented itself in cartoon history. Naturally, Lenore Zann would hold the title of the most iconic portrayal of Rogue. For 79 episodes spanning from 1992 to 1997, Zann gifted us a Rogue that we have not seen before or sense.

Zann’s voice carried the weight of Rogue’s past, her desire for love, and her longing for human touch. Zann painted Rogue’s complexities with every inflection, making us laugh, cry, and cheer alongside one of the most remarkable X-Men.

From her tangled emotions to her electric chemistry with Gambit, Zann breathed life into Rogue’s romantic escapades, giving us a Rogue whose love story was as legendary as her powers. And let’s not forget that iconic catchphrase that slipped from her lips – “Suga” – a Southern charm that was unique to Rogue.

No one quite ever captured what Zann was able to do. She is to Rogue what Kevin Conroy was to Batman. Sure, there are bound to be some great actresses. But none of them will compare to the greatness that is Lenore Zann. In fact, the long-time voice actress will reprise her role for the Disney Plus series X-Men 97′.
