7. Hal Jordan

Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern who could use a lantern of uniqueness himself. While he’s no doubt iconic, it’s hard to ignore the eye-rolling over usage of his version of Green Lantern in the comics.

The guy’s like the poster child for the “generic superhero template.” Okay, that might be a bit harsh, but hear me out. The real beef starts with how the Lantern’s comics seem to revolve around him, sidelining others who could use their own shining moments.

Remember John Stewart? The man brought his own brand of heroism and diversity to the table, yet Hal’s the one who snagged the movie spotlight. It’s like DC thought, “Oh, we need a Green Lantern? Well, better call Hal.” John’s character depth just didn’t get the recognition it deserved, thanks to Hal’s persistent presence hogging the limelight.

Let’s not forget about Jessica and Kyle. These Lanterns have stories to tell, too. Yet, here’s Hal, like that guy at the party who won’t let anyone else have the mic. Sure, he’s got his place in history, but it’s time to give others a chance to shine. Hal might have started it all, but there’s a whole Lantern corps of untapped potential that’s getting overshadowed. Yeah, I know it’s a bit salty.
