This Tuesday, a brand new chapter in the Star Wars saga begins. Ahsoka will premiere on Disney Plus, adding to the streaming service’s expansive Star Wars legacy, and telling the story of a beloved character in the process.

Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson in the title role. The character first made her debut in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and fans had been calling for her to make her presence felt in the live-action chapters for some time since. Dawson was among the top fan-castings for the role, so when she was indeed cast as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, audiences were thrilled.

The character is one of the big fan-favorites of the more recent chapters of the Star Wars franchise. That adoration continued (and grew) whenever she made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian, so to say that fans are ready to see Rosario Dawson headline her own miniseries as the character would be an understatement.

Ahsoka will premiere on Disney Plus with a special two episode premiere. The show also makes both Disney Plus and Star Wars TV history, as it’s the first original series produced by the streamer to premiere during the primetime TV hours of the US, arriving on the service at 9:00 p.m. ET and 6:00 p.m. PT. on Tuesday, August 22.
