Previously, on Ahsoka, Hera Syndulla requested to further investigate the possibility that Grand Admiral Thrawn was still alive. One of the Senate members said this was just an excuse for Hera to find Ezra Bridger. Hera took offense to this. She responded by asking Senator Xiono if he fought in the war. After he said no, Hera asked if he sat back to see who came out on top. The conversations got heated until Chancellor Mon Mothma decided to discuss this in private with the rest of the Senate. Of course, they denied her request.

The Senate is shady. There’s no way they didn’t discover the Empire infiltrating their ranks and aren’t concerned. Especially with the thought of Thrawn being alive. Unless they already knew what was going on. This isn’t to say everyone in the Senate is working for the Empire. But some of them are definitely up to no good. This shouldn’t be shocking to anyone.

While Hera is giving Wren, Huyang, and Ahsoka the news, they’re attacked by Shin Hati and her Empire ships. They were being decimated until Huyang suggested Ahsoka listen to Wren. Once they started working together, they started to even the odds. This gave Huyang a chance to scan the giant hyperspace ring and escape.

After landing on the neighboring planet, Huyang explains what the hyperspace ring was capable of. He says it has the capability to send ships at an “astonishing speed and distance.” This would be a huge asset to the Empire. Thankfully, the ring hasn’t been completed. The three heroes have time to fix their ship and stop the Empire. Unfortunately, Baylan Skoll senses them on the planet and sends droids after them.

Episode 4 of Ahsoka will be the halfway mark of the Disney Plus mini-series. This usually means that something major will occur. If this writer had to guess, the person in the mask working with Shin Hati will be revealed. What if it’s Ezra Bridger? It would be a twist no one would see coming. He could be brainwashed or furious that no one came to save him. However, it may infuriate fans of Clone Wars. What’s more likely is the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Look for that to happen at the very end of the episode.
