10 actors who could play Batman Beyond in the DC Universe
3. Joe Keery
You’d be hard-pressed to find a person who wasn’t impressed by Joe Keery in the first season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. As the handsome-but-seemingly-shallow high school villain Steve Harrington, he was appropriately mean and aggressively annoying – and yet, it was impossible to truly hate Steve. Why? Well, because Keery made him so darn charming, bringing to life some absolutely fantastic character development.
Flash-forward seven years later and Steve is arguably the most popular character on the show, becoming a friend to the people he once mocked and a guardian to a group of kids in desperate need of one. And as unlikely as it seemed, it all had to do with Keery’s remarkable performance.
The truth is that Keery is a fantastic actor and chances are that we wouldn’t have felt as strongly about Steve had he not made him so damn charming. But there’s more to him than just Stranger Things. He’s also capable of holding his own when on-screen with fellow powerhouses and he has natural chemistry with just about everyone he shares the screen with.
There’s no doubt about it: He would nail the charming aspects of Terry’s personality, ensuring that his high school life is just as engaging as his nightly vigilante duties. Speaking of which, he’d have no problem giving life to the charismatic Dark Knight of Neo-Gotham.
