8. Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy, the green-thumbed temptress of Gotham, is one villain who’s just too enchanting to resist. Despite her villainous ways, there’s something lovable about Pamela Isley. Could it be her connection to nature? Maybe it’s her backstory.

Pamela Lillian Isley started as an attractive and gifted botanist in Seattle. Her life took a crazy twist when she fell under the spell of the criminal Marc LeGrande. She and Marc were not a match dude led her down a thorny path of crime — pun is obsious. To stop her from snitching, LeGrande tried to silence Pamela by poisoning her with an ancient herb. In a twist of fate, she emerged from the tragic attempt immune to toxins and diseases.

As Poison Ivy, she embraced her newfound powers with a vengeance. She stepped out in a leafy green costume that left little to the imagination. With her hypnotic plant toxins to manipulate those around her, Gotham City soon felt her leafy allure. That was until Batman ruined it.

In their initial encounter, Ivy nearly using all her beauty and charm tried to seduce Batman into becoming her partner-in-crime. Of course, it didn’t work, but it set the stage for her being one of his most memorable villains.
