Unraveling the web of Spider-Man 4: What we know and don’t know so far about the fourth installment in the Tom Holland Spider-Man universe.

In a world filled with superhero capes and exciting rescues, one superhero stands apart as the friendly neighborhood savior that we just can’t get enough of: Spider-Man. If you’ve been experiencing Spidey withdrawal since the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man: No Way Home arrived in 2021, you can rest assured knowing you’re not alone.

We’ve been searching the corners of the internet to gather as much information as we can about any concrete evidence that a fourth installment would be coming soon, but… Truth be told, there’s not a lot set in stone at the moment.

Fret not. Let’s talk about what we know and don’t know about the possibility of a fourth Spider-Man movie coming out soon.

Will there be a Spider-Man 4?

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and producer Amy Pascal have blessed Spidey fans by confirming in various interviews that the words anyone wants to hear Spider-Man 4 is indeed in the works. A script is all we’ve heard of so far, but Feige has gone on record to say they have “big ideas” for the next film. The production has been put on pause because of the ongoing strikes but, hey, it is for sure happening at least as of right now.

Will Tom Holland be in Spider-Man 4?

Tom Holland took the Spidey world by storm with his incredible performance as Peter Parker. Would he be back for a fourth movie? While Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal say they’re working on it, Holland himself is being very secretive about his involvement with the movie, if any.

Holland has been in discussions about returning as Spider-Man with Marvel, but he’s a little hesitant about it. Holland’s biggest hang-up is, in his own words, having to deal with “stigma about the fourth one in all franchises.”

Tom, my dear, we are not worried about that.

Will Zendaya be in Spider-Man 4?

For anyone who saw the last film, you know the romantic tension was at an all-time high between Peter and MJ. And though Zendaya hasn’t confirmed her return, Sony producer Amy Pascal’s interview with Deadline suggests that we might get Zendaya back for the next installment after all.

What will Spider-Man 4 be about?

The ending of No Way Home leaves the potential for some more engaging storytelling for the next installment in the Spider-Man franchise, a franchise that has gifted us iconic villains, happy moments, and a fair share of heartbreaking ones.

Who will take one for the team and become the villain for the fourth installment? We don’t have official details yet, but it’s fun to speculate. Villans like the Rhino and Kraven the Hunter are very much alive and bothering Peter Parker in the comics. With a stand-alone Kraven the Hunter movie coming in 2024, the possibility of introducing him (or other villains from the Spider-Man universe we don’t get to see onscreen often) is very, very high.

What we do know is that we desperately need answers to the repercussions of Peter’s decision to ask Doctor Strange to make everyone forget he was Spider-Man.

Is Spider-Man 4 in production?

The current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have placed the project on pause, much like every other project that was in production at the time. As far as the project continuing after the strike ends and the actors and writers win, I don’t foresee any issues that would prevent it from resuming. But remember – I don’t have an 8 Ball and I can’t read minds, so this could all very well change.
