Batman can’t beat Superman

This may seem like a weird transition, but Bruce can’t stop Superman if Clark isn’t holding back. The two heroes aren’t on the same playing field. Superman has god-like powers and is smarter than he’s given credit for. Batman is genius enough to create gadgets to slow the Man of Steel down, not stop him. If Superman wanted to, Batman would be killed before he knew it happened. Bruce has admitted this.

Bruce has one advantage in this fight, however. Clark Kent is a kind person. Without that, it’s over quickly. This was proven during Injustice. Try as he might, Superman dominated their first real fight. This is why it ended with the Man of Steel breaking Batman’s back. If a superpowered Alfred hadn’t stepped in, who knows what would have happened?

Batman’s not the same without Alfred

Alfred has been helping Batman protect Gotham City for years. Fans may not have realized how important he was to Bruce’s crusade until Bane killed him in City of Bane. Since his death, Bruce has been lost.

Alfred was the person who reined Bruce in when he was getting too emotional. He knew that it would lead to him becoming more aggressive and irrational. As readers have witnessed, Alfred was right. His death has turned Batman into something unrecognizable. He’s become sloppy and forgetful. Two things Bruce isn’t.

Don’t be shocked when Alfred comes back within the next couple of years. It’s more than just helping a hero. Bruce needs his father. It could be Alfred from Chip Zdarsky’s “Bat-Man of Gotham” story.
