Anakin

Ahsoka revisits the World Between Worlds, the astral plane for force-wielders that Ezra pulled Ahsoka into during Star Wars Rebels. It is a place that bridges gaps of time and space and for Ahsoka, she tours moments from her past with the most impactful individual in her life — Anakin Skywalker. Anakin/Vader has appeared in the prequel trilogy, The Clone Wars, Tales of the Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Rebels, Rogue One, and the original trilogy. His kinship with Ahsoka formed a significant portion of Clone Wars and her face-off against her former master in Star Wars Rebels was exhilarating.

In Ahsoka’s World Between Worlds chapter, Anakin comes back from beyond the grave. The former friends are transported to memorable Clone War battles; one of the earliest and one of the latest in the multi-year conflict. Ahsoka is clearly younger when Anakin first becomes her mentor, but even as the seasoned warrior confronts Anakin, he expresses how her training is ongoing and they cross sabers yet again.

Captain Rex

Another essential ally of Ahsoka’s during the Clone Wars was Captain Rex. We see him in the flashbacks during the World Between Worlds segment. Unlike Anakin, who is unfamiliar with the setting, Captain Rex fought alongside Ahsoka during the Siege of Mandalore, as depicted in the final season of the animated series. More of Rex’s involvement with Ahsoka is laid out in Tales of the Jedi and the partners also reunite in Star Wars Rebels. As a clone who was unaffected by Order 66, Rex naturally works with the Bad Batch in their eponymous show.

Gar Saxon

An adversary in The Clone Wars, Gar Saxon seems to also pop up in the World Between Worlds. It may have been a different Mandalorian super commando, but the fact that Ray Stevenson voiced Saxon in Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels is a clue that the opposing Maul-aligned Mandalorian in the Siege of Mandalore flashback was likely Gar Saxon. The late great Ray Stevenson portrays Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka.

Mon Mothma

Mon Mothma is a Star Wars supporting character who has progressively increased her presence throughout the years. She was first played by Caroline Blakiston in Return of the Jedi. The senator was then recast with a younger actress for the prequel film Revenge of the Sith — Genevieve O’Reilly was hired by George Lucas, but her speaking scenes were cut and she can hardly be spotted as a background character.

Mon Mothma gained notoriety in the Clone Wars series, while also attending Padme Amidala’s funeral in Tales of the Jedi and returning to aid the rebellion in several episodes of Star Wars Rebels. O’Reilly reprises the live-action role for Rogue One and Andor; the latter being her largest part in a Star Wars creation to date. She is currently interacting with General Syndulla in Ahsoka, marking O’Reilly’s first time as Mon Mothma in post-Return of the Jedi context.

Huyang

Huyang is a droid that has worked with the Jedi for thousands of years. He would appear with Ahsoka in a later season of The Clone Wars and helped Jedi younglings construct their lightsabers. He remains at Ahsoka’s side all these years later. David Tennant voices Huyang in both the Clone Wars and Ahsoka.
