Breaking down all 13 legacy Star Wars characters in Ahsoka so far
By Josh Baggins
Morgan Elsbeth
Morgan Elsbeth is a Nightsister witch and one of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s faithful followers. Diana Lee Inosanto originated the part in The Mandalorian season 2 installment entitled “The Jedi.” This is where Din Djarin meets Ahsoka and they defeat and capture Elsbeth. The character has graduated to a series regular in Ahsoka, successfully escaping captivity and orchestrating the reunification of Thrawn.
Carson Teva
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee has become the unexpected link to all the New Republic Star Wars shows. He plays Captain Carson Teva, who first crosses paths with Din Djarin in The Mandalorian’s second season. Even though he patrols space for unscrupulous lawbreakers, Carson suspects Din may not be all bad. Carson practically lets Mando get away when confronting him in The Book of Boba Fett.
In the third season of The Mandalorian, Carson works directly with Din Djarin and also reconnects fans with Zeb, the other remaining member of the Ghost crew from Star Wars Rebels. In Ahsoka, Carson joins Hera’s squadron of pilots in their unsanctioned missions.
Senator Hamato
The most uniquely positioned legacy Star Wars character in the Ahsoka series is Senator Hamato Xiono. Everyone else has their roots planted from past narratives, while Senator Hamato’s previous appearance takes place after this period on the timeline. In Ahsoka, he stands besides Mon Mothma in the council that rejects Hera’s plan. Years later, Hamato is still a senator on Hosnian Prime as seen in the Star Wars Resistance animated show. He is the father of the lead protagonist, Kaz, who joins the Resistance, and reports to General Organa and Poe Dameron.
Are you looking forward to Ahsoka’s final two episodes? Will any other legacy Star Wars characters make surprise appearances? New episodes premiere on Disney Plus every Tuesday evening, with the finale scheduled for Oct. 3.
