Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, and the Rogue One team

One of the best Star Wars movies is the 2016 spinoff Rogue One, which serves as a prequel to A New Hope. Rogue One was a major success, both critically and financially, grossing a little over $1 billion at the box office and receiving two Academy Award nominations. The film is just fantastic, and it was no surprise that Disney decided to expand on the story with the 2022 series Andor.

About a week ahead of the events of A New Hope, a group of rebels embarks on a mission to steal the plans of the Death Star, and though the movie ends in tragedy, it also ends in great hope for the galaxy. Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, and the remaining rebels on the project are killed in the end, but before they meet their fate they are able to transfer the data to Leia Organa, making the ultimate sacrifice for the Rebel Alliance.

Given their bravery, selflessness, and great sense of honor, I’d be remiss if I didn’t want to bring back Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, and the remaining rebels who are killed in Rogue One. No, I don’t want to change their sacrifice, but if I had the power to bring people back from the dead, they’d be fantastic additions to the galaxy once more.

VERDICT: Bring back
