Leia Organa

One of the best feminist icons of all sci-fi media is Leia Organa, played by the late and great Carrie Fisher. The character first appears in A New Hope and forms a close bond with Luke Skywalker, who she later learns is her brother, and Han Solo, who she eventually marries.

A member of the Rebel Alliance, Leia is such a strong, smart, and fearless leader who takes risks for the good of the galaxy. She’s also incredibly funny, responsible for some of the best one-liners and comedic scenes throughout the movies.

Sadly, Carrie Fisher passed away in 2016 during the sequel trilogy and Leia’s death happens in The Rise of Skywalker through unused archival footage, which came out in 2019. In an attempt to use the Force to bring back her son Ben Solo/Kylo Ren to the Light Side, Leia drains herself of energy and, sadly, dies.

Given Leia is such an integral and influential part of Star Wars, if I were able to bring her back, I definitely would. Of course, I would never want to do anything to hurt the legacy of Carrie Fisher, but if there was any way to see her again in an alternate universe, I’d be in. I miss her dearly!

VERDICT: Bring back
