Obi-Wan Kenobi

One of the more prominent characters in Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi is introduced in the first movie and we get more of his backstory in the prequels. A Jedi Master who becomes a key mentor to Anakin Skywalker, the character is best known for his sense of duty and honor, along with the iconic performances brought by actors Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.

Obi-Wan plays a crucial role in shaping Anakin’s destiny, and he feels responsible for not preventing his descent into darkness. All in all, he’s a great guy with morals who always wants to do the right thing.

Fans got to see more of Obi-Wan and Anakin’s relationship in the Disney Plus series Obi-Wan Kenobi, which came out in May 2022. Although the series pales in comparison to the movies, the fact that there was so much hype surrounding its release and so many people watched it proves how beloved of a character Obi-Wan is.

Sadly, Obi-Wan loses his life in A New Hope during a duel with Darth Vader, letting his former apprentice kill him in order to help the others escape. Because of his wisdom and dedication to justice, I would absolutely bring the character back from the dead if I could. He dies too soon!

VERDICT: Bring back
