Han Solo

Another one of the most popular characters in Star Wars, Han Solo is a key figure in the original trilogy and he returns for the sequels. Portrayed by Harrison Ford, Han is a smuggler who becomes involved in the Rebel Alliance. Introduced in A New Hope, we get to know him as the captain of the Millennium Falcon with a lot of charm and wit.

Han Solo goes through significant character development throughout the movies, starting off as a self-centered guy motivated by money and turning into a selfless and heroic figure, not to mention a great friend.

As mentioned earlier, Han Solo forms a romance with Leia Organa and the two eventually get married and have a child. But sadly, they become estranged from their son Ben Solo when he turns to the Dark Side, taking on his new identity of Kylo Ren. This strained relationship ultimately leads to Han’s death in The Force Awakens at the hands of his own son.

I know Kylo Ren is a tortured soul, but to kill your own dad? Ruthless! Of course, I’d love to bring Han Solo back from the dead if I could. He’s just too great of a character who doesn’t deserve his fate.

VERDICT: Bring back
