Every DC Universe original show ranked from worst to best
The DC Universe provided us with many fun DC TV shows. From Titans to Young Justice to Stargirl, which is the best of the streaming service?
It has now been almost five years since the DC Universe was introduced to us. DC’s official streaming platform, the service launched on Sept. 15 2018 in the U.S., providing DC Comics fans with access to a library containing countless DC films, TV shows and comic books.
Furthermore, while it did indeed contain an abundance of TV shows, such as the classic 1975 Wonder Woman series, The Adventures of Lois and Clark, Batman: The Animated Series and Teen Titans, it also jumped on the ever-growing streaming-services-which-produce-their-own-content train and, as a result, has spawned a number of its own shows.
Since then, we have seen original programs Titans, Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing joined by the long-awaited third season/revival of Young Justice (a.k.a. Young Justice: Outsiders), two seasons of Harley Quinn and the arrival of DC’s Stargirl. While not all of those shows’ respective seasons have been universally-acclaimed gems, the vast majority of them have – which, of course, makes ranking them that much harder. But we never shy away from a challenge!
The DC Universe ceased operations as a streaming service in 2021, transitioning into a comics only platform named DC Universe Infinite, but its programming lived on via HBO Max and The CW. Unfortunately, some ownership changes at Warner Bros. Discovery and The CW resulted in the cancellation of most of those shows, but its legacy will live on forever.
That said, which of its original programs were the best? Let’s rank them and find out!
