6. Cyborg

For years fans have waited to see Cyborg on the big screen. We got him in a movie that was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. Justice League was supposed to give us a story about a hero struggling to find his place. A coming of age story of a young hero with the powers of a cybernetic god. Instead, we got a mixed bag of stuff that didn’t quite fit together.

There wasn’t much focus on any particular hero with a lackluster storyline. Cyborg was stuck in the middle of it all and overlooked—he deserved better. Justice League didn’t give fans a chance to connect with Victor Stone. We weren’t taken on a journey with Cyborg. Instead, he was thrown in our faces, and were told to root for him.

Of course, Justice League’s extended cut made up for it in a major way. Zack Snyder’s full vision gave fans a deep dive into Cyborg’s history. Despite the amazing story Cyborg still deserved more, his own film. Ray Fisher did an amazing job in the role, but his problem with Warner Bros treatment made it difficult for the actor to continue with the studio.

Nevertheless, Cyborg should have been the catalyst for something bigger: the Teen Titans. Fans know him as part of the group that consists of Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven. The DCEU could have done something similar. Imagine if we had a story that saw Cyborg, a loner searching for his place. He finds a friend in Dick Grayson and we got a film featuring the two young heroes.
