Despite being on the brink of death and having multiple illnesses, they decide to help Madame Rouge battle Isabel Feathers/Immortus. What’s even better is Victor returns as Cyborg. Unfortunately, that’s where the good news stops.
Isabel stops Madame Rouge from taking the Doom Patrol’s essence. Then, when her team tries to help, Isabel sends them into an eternal void. To her, this is an appropriate punishment. This is the same thing that happened to her when Madame Rouge made her first appearance. Now, there’s no superhero to save the day. Well, for now at least.
The Doom Patrol being sent into the endless void will save them. While there, fans can fully expect for them to regain their longevity. It’s the only thing that makes sense. Then again, when it comes to this show, nothing is logical. It’s part of the program’s charm.
Lastly, Victor becoming Cyborg is a good omen. When season 4 began, the Doom Patrol saw themselves dead in the Zombie Butt Apocalypse. In that future, Victor didn’t have his cybernetic body parts. That could be the one thing that prevents the butt zombies from taking over.
The next episode is the series’ penultimate episode. Whatever happens next will drastically affect the finale.
