4. Season 2, Chapter 9: The Gate

Kicking off our journey through the Stranger Things finales is season 2’s climactic Chapter 9: The Gate, and unfortunately, it finds its place as the “worst” season finale in our ranking. While it introduces one of the show’s best characters, Max Mayfield, and adds layers to the Upside Down, it’s a bumpy ride that doesn’t quite live up to the expectations set by the thrilling first season. The climax here feels a bit less satisfying compared to the other seasons.
