1. Commander Spock (USS Enterprise)

Appeared in: Star Trek: The Original SeriesStar Trek: The original movies, The Kelvin timeline movies, Star Trek: DiscoveryStar Trek: Strange New Worlds

Who knew, right?

Spock has the unbeatable combo of Vulcan logic and human emotion. Whenever Captain Kirk is about to make a (let’s face it) sometimes rash decision, who’s there to serve him a slice of cold, hard logic? Spock. But don’t let those pointy ears and magnificent furrowed eyebrows fool you – beneath that logical exterior lies a heart that’s learned to care deeply for his crew mates. That duality makes him very relatable and likable. We’ve all had moments where we’ve had to use our head over our heart, or vice versa. Spock, with his Vulcan salute and catchphrase “Live long and prosper,” isn’t just a character – he’s an icon.

Not to mention Spock’s bromance with Kirk. This dynamic duo sets friendship goals on a whole new level. Their camaraderie, mutual respect, and the playful banter they share have given fans countless memorable moments and inspiration for their own friendships. And who can forget the sacrifices Spock has made for his friends? His wisdom is unparalleled, and the way he navigates complex emotions and situations adds even more layers to his character. With his perfect blend of intelligence, humor, and heart, Commander Spock easily and rightfully beams up to the number one spot on our list.

From the halls of the USS Enterprise to the corridors of Deep Space Nine, we’ve spotlighted the best of the best in Starfleet’s chain of command. Remember, whether you agree with our rankings or have your own hierarchy in mind, the beauty of Star Trek lies in its diversity and the rich roster of characters that inspire countless debates and shared memories.
