2. Commander William Riker (Starship Enterprise-D)

Appeared in: Star Trek: The Next GenerationStar Trek: Picard

Ah, Riker, Riker, Riker. Where to begin?

Right from his early days on the USS Enterprise-D, Riker’s magnetic personality and roguish charm had us all hooked in The Next Generation. Not only was he a sight for sore eyes with that signature beard and beautiful eyes, but his interactions with the crew were full of a brilliant mix of warmth, leadership, and the occasional playful banter. It’s no surprise that he quickly endeared himself to both his peers on the ship and fans watching from home.

But there’s more to Riker than just charisma and good looks. His unwavering loyalty to Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew was epic. From intense showdowns with villains like the Borg to his fun trombone sessions in Ten Forward, Riker proved time and again that he was the right-hand man you’d want by your side. His journey from an eager young officer with dreams in his eyes to a mature and seasoned leader was nothing short of inspiring. And let’s not deny the fact that when you hear “Number One” in the Star Trek universe, there’s only one face that comes to mind.

And don’t lie – you’ve tried to sit down like him before, too – it wasn’t just me (I failed horribly as I am just about 5ft tall).
